Fallon might be the only TV show taping in New York today — Hurricane Sandy has already shut down production on Jimmy Kimmel’s first Brooklyn show, as well as both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Girls will be girls. I love the new HBO series and am not bothered by the backlash. But somehow Lena Dunham’s appearance on The Colbert Report disappointed me. Maybe she was too media-trained to address the aforementioned backlash or maybe Colbert set her up OR maybe she’s less likable when you realize she is only 24 and doesn’t fully understand the disenchanted, post-collegiate youth slash pretend-working professional she’s trying to portray. Or maybe I’m drunk and nervous about moving to New York (again) in a few weeks and just remembering my two years there when “I interned for practically for free and wished my parents would pay for everything and they didn’t and I had to deal.”
(Editor’s note: I could be rambling.)
