The Poet At Obama’s Second Inaugural Will Be Gay And Latino. Richard Blanco will serve as the inaugural poet at the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, January 21, a selection that’s historic on a number of levels: He will be the youngest poet, as well as the first Latino and first LGBT person, to recite a composition during the ceremony.

President Obama’s entrance music to the Democratic National Convention was ‘City of Blinding Lights’ by U2. Where you may have heard it before:
During a scene from The Devil Wears Prada (when Andy and Miranda arrive to Paris).
As ESPN’s theme songs during 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Also:
As Obama’s entrance music for his presidential candidacy announcement in 2007.
As Obama’s entrance music for his acceptance speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
When U2 played it during the We Are One concert during Obama’s inauguration.
It should be noted it’s one of Obama’s ten favorite songs.
