The One To Beat. Kate McKinnon has quickly become the stand out cast member of SNL. In her debut last spring, Kate showcased why she was meant to be there in one beautiful delivery of “Arteriovenous Plexus.” This past week, with Daniel Craig hosting, she stole the show. TelevisionWithOutPity named her ”the MVP of the girls this week” and it won’t be long until she’s the MVP of the show, erasing any despair over Kristen Wiig’s departure. Her impressions have been spot on, she killed it as Ann Romney and if this quote is any indication of what she’ll tackle this season, then we are in for a bunch of laughs: I’m fascinated by mental illness … and people who just cannot connect to other[s], because I feel like that a lot. So those are the characters I’m drawn to; those are the characters I want to play.
